Sorry I have been too busy to update the site. Tuesday the 23rd was a great day for halibut with 5 caught, 3 over 30 pounds. Saturday, FUJI III got 3 halibut for a total of 107 pounds. Fishing has been slow but quality of the fish has been awesome. Nice weather continues to help.

Bad weather but got two sea bass anyway
June 20, 2009 by admin.
The forecast was for light and variable winds but it was blowing 2o out of the north. We tried Chinese Harbor but it was too windy to keep a good drift. Went around the corner to Smugglers and got two nice WSBs right away. We thought the bite was going to turn on but those two ended up being it for the day. Better than nothing.

Fuji picked up two nice halibut, one WSB, a giant sheephead and some rockfish today. Beautiful conditions out at Santa Cruz Islands. Water temp is just right and the fish are biting. Plenty of baitfish around too.
