Slow day, 1 halibut, 1 sea bass
June 26, 2010 by admin.
We fished Anacapa today and worked hard for 2 fish but they were both beauties. A halibut and a WSB about 25 pounds each. Thanks to the Nguyens for being good sports about the slow fishing. I didn’t hear of anybody else doing much better.

Me and Tarran got into a great halibut bite today and picked up five in 20 minutes, plus a WSB. All in shallow water. Great weather. Maybe things are finally turning around.

2 nice white sea bass today

Fished with Ed and Chris today and they both got a great WSB, first one for both of them. The big one was 39 pounds and we didn’t weigh the smaller one. The water is starting to warm up finally and the fish are starting to bite. Great day on the water today.

2 day tournament, 1 halibut
June 7, 2010 by admin.
FUJI III fished the Pacific Corinthian Yacht Club Grand Slam tournament this past weekend for the 4th time. We got underway Friday night, fished all day Saturday and Sunday and got one halibut. Fishing is still very slow and the water is cold. The weather was fantastic and seems to be warming up. Saw lots of whales and had a good time with the other fishermen regardless. Better luck next year.
