I was worried about this trip.  I have been on a run of bad luck with this family but today we scored.  All of our bait died but we caught plenty more squid and sardines.  Ended up with four nice size flatties and a starry.  Only took pics of two but you get the idea.

The fishing fleet was out in force today but there wasn’t enough action to keep them interested.  We fished all day for a couple of flatties, a cuda and about a thousand mackerel.  Tons of squid at the Islands.

Worked hard for a calico and a couple of barracudas.  Same place I have been cleaning up on big halibut.  No excuses,  That’s fishing sometimes.  No pics today.

The halibut bite is on fire right now.  We should have had a few more but that’s fishing.  Fun day and perfect weather.

Fuji III scored big on the halibut today, including one in the 40 pound class.  Perfect weather too.  Maybe we will have a decent fishing season this year after all.

Slow day on the glory fish but we made up for it with meat fish including some monster whites.
