We couldn’t buy a halibut until 3PM but at least it was a big one.  30-35 pound class and 4 slime rockets.

Should have stayed in bed today.  The forecast was wrong and there were huge, short interval swells with whitecaps on top of them.  I could only make 10 knots and was still getting pounded.  On top of all of that, we caught 4 calicos and a stinking barracuda.

Terrible fishing today.  Possibly related to the full moon.  We were on the fish with the right bait.  They just weren’t hungry.  No pictures today.  Sorry.

Today the sea bass were biting wide open.  We got in them as soon as we got there and had a limit of 15 before 11 AM.  We also picked up two nice halibut and a couple of barracuda.  The last sea bass of the day was the best one because a big dirty seal grabbed it right under the boat and I gaffed it right out of his mouth.  In your face, furbag!  Great day on the water and back home early.  Wish they were all like this.
