Another one halibut kind of day

Fishing is slowing down for the year I guess. Fished all day for one halibut, about a 30 pounder.

Bad fishing today

Tried every trick in the book and got a bunch of dirty bat rays and some sand bass. Terrible.

Wide open white sea bass today

We had a short but good pick on sea bass for about an hour and picked up six nice ones plus various bat rays, sharks and a thresher.

One halibut and two barracuda

Another slow day at sea. Fished hard with the right bait at the right place but they just weren’t biting. One nice flattie and a couple of slimers. Better luck next time.

Another slow day. A big halibut a 4 barracuda

We couldn’t buy a halibut until 3PM but at least it was a big one. 30-35 pound class and 4 slime rockets.

Bad weather, worse fishing

Should have stayed in bed today. The forecast was wrong and there were huge, short interval swells with whitecaps on top of them. I could only make 10 knots and was still getting pounded. On top of all of that, we caught 4 calicos and a stinking barracuda.

Terrible fishing today. Possibly related to the full moon. We were on the fish with the right bait. They just weren’t hungry. No pictures today. Sorry.
